Best in Class (BIC) Education Center, a top-of-the-line education enrichment program that focuses on math and English, is proud to announce its newest center opening at 375 Sawdust Rd. The Woodlands/Sawdust BIC location will be spearheaded by franchisee and education advocate Yemi Lemma.

Lemma will be hosting a grand opening event for parents and children this Saturday, August 27 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be provided while parents can meet the staff and take advantage of a free academic assessment, waved registration fees as well as two free classes for their children. Participants will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle for a chance to win one of three grand prizes, including a Star Wars BB-8 Droid, Osmo Start Kit and Kidi Zoom Smart Watch.

Lemma was inspired to become a franchisee with Best in Class Education Center after a franchise consultant introduced her to the brand. Lemma was very impressed with the franchise mission to build successful students that she decided to become a franchisee. Her desire to help her two children succeed translated into a passion to help other students in the area receive the same high quality of education.

Lemma received strong academic standing from Texas state schools, receiving her Bachelors in Science from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and later earning her MBA from the University of Texas in Dallas. Most of her professional career was spent working for a fortune 500 company as a Global Marketing Manager. Lemma looks forward to sharing her hunger for learning with The Woodlands community.

“I’ve always had an interest in opening my own business but I also wanted the opportunity to work with kids in an educational setting,” said Lemma. “Best in Class has a unique curriculum with unparalleled support of the corporate team, allowing me to pursue both interests without stretching myself too thin. The partnership made since and I’m eager to get started.”

With the rapid growth the Houston market has seen, Lemma aims to partner with private and public schools locally to aid in understanding the private education enrichment segment.

“One location is a start, but I would really like to expand within the area to offer our services to more students,” said Lemma. “As my kids grow up, I realize how much I want to become a part of the community and aim to open at least two additional locations. Right now, I’m enjoying the time I have with them and am hoping to continue being their role model as a mom, scholar, educator and now an entrepreneur.”
