OUR HISTORY

The Lams opened their first center in the heart of Seattle. Since then, the company has grown rapidly, offering an ever wider range of programs.

1995

Due to the immense demand for their services, the company decided to expand their business by offering franchise opportunities.

2010

Acquired by the Lams and renamed BrainChild to Best in Class Education Center where it continued to expand along the west coast.

2011

First east coast location opened in Moorestown, NJ

2015

Over 50 locations currently open across 10 states

Hao Lam founded Best in Class Education Center in Seattle in 1995. Hao’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to turn the business into a franchisee in 2011. Today, Lam oversees 45+ franchised centers across the United States and has spent his entire career advocating for high-quality tutoring and enrichment. His goal is to provide quality supplemental education to empower students to change the world.

Dominique began her franchise career in 2006 with a women’s wellness company. She was promoted to oversight of 30 locations as VP of Operations, where she managed training, marketing, and supply chain support. In 2013 she became Director of Franchising for Olson and Associates, where she helped 200+ aspiring entrepreneurs start their own franchise businesses. She has a passion for education and lives to help others grow their business portfolios.

Laura graduated with a B.A. from the University of Washington. She also has a certificate in Business Administration from the UW’s Foster School of Business. Laura has been in the education field for over 10 years, starting as an English instructor before becoming a Center Manager, then VP of Operations for Best in Class’ corporate centers. Laura has a passion for education and helping people reach their full potential.

Stephanie Zhu
Stephanie’s experience with Best in Class started over 20 years ago as a student in Bellevue, WA. Stephanie went on and graduated from the UW’s Foster’s School of Business with a concentration in Accounting and Marketing. In 2013, Stephanie joined the franchise support team full-time and worked extensively with both new and existing franchisees. Currently, Stephanie oversees the accounting and marketing departments while also providing support to the other departments.
